The IT Crowd - Season 2 Episode 4

Yikes it's been awhile!! Ok, onto the next episode... we're now at the 4th episode of 6 in the second season.

Season 2 - Episode 4 - "The Dinner Party"
Jen and her new boyfriend, Peter File, are hosting a dinner party for six of their single friends. However all of the men are unable to come at the last minute and Jen invites Roy, Moss, and Richmond to take their places. Moss pairs up with the first of the three single female friends, and the two of them inadvertently start acting as if they're married. Richmond unexpectedly hits it off with the second of Jen's friends. And Roy learns that the third friend was once a model, but her face is presently obscured by bandages. As such, Roy can't tell if she's still as beautiful as she used to be, which affects his decision about whether or not to ask her out.

This is a good episode for Richmond! He's a great character!

Good quotes:
"Oh is that the end of the story? AWWWW"
"Nutjobs... I hope you're not referring to me!"
"MEMORY IS RAM!! OOHHH!!!"
"Look normal.... more normal.... RELAX!"
"Hello how are you... oo I'm a fish... help I'm being eaten!"
"Who's a pedophile?"
"They say pedophile in America"
"We've all changed Margaret.... we all have"

The IT Crowd - Season 2 Episode 3

Time for another update... (c:

Season 2 - Episode 3 - "Moss and the German"
Moss tries to liven up his life by enrolling in a German cookery course. It turns out that the German is actually a cannibal seeking someone willing to be eaten (a parody of the Armin Meiwes incident) and the advertisement contained some fairly important translation errors. Meanwhile, Roy is trying to watch a pirated DVD, and after a couple of failed attempts volunteers to be the German cannibal's next meal in order to watch it on his impressively large home entertainment system. In a separate subplot, Jen, now a smoker again, finds the company smoking area reminiscent to the atmosphere of a Communist regime (in a parody of bleak and melodramatic Dr Zhivago-style films).

my youtube is acting weird right now (and yes, I tried turning it off and back on again, and yes, it's definitely plugged in...), so I am unable to watch the clips to put up some quotes! but here are the clips for you to watch, and hopefully you aren't having the same problem as me.

Quotes (that I remember):
"And then steal it AGAIN!!"
"There's somebody at the door.... there's somebody at the door..."
"You're my wife, Roy, you're my wife!" - I think that's this episode, I apologize if I'm wrong!

The IT Crowd - Season 2 Episode 2

Well, there's not much that can top that last episode, and although the rest of the season isn't as great as the first episode, they are still just as good if not better than the first season! Here's a look at the next episode! This is another great episode for Roy... his scene in the Church is HILARIOUS!!

Season 2 - Episode 2 - "Return of the Golden Child"
Roy buys a new mobile phone with lots of features, but a weak vibrate setting, so Moss offers to "pimp it out" for him, where he sets the vibrate setting up so high that they decide to put it in their pants and let it vibrate for fun. At the same time, Moss is subjecting Roy to an online quiz about his general health and well being, which tells him he is going to die Thursday at 3pm. When Denholm commits suicide during a meeting, his funeral is set for Thursday at 3pm. Before the funeral, Denholm's successor reveals that he despises the IT department and wants nothing more than to fire them. Moments before Denholm's successor goes through with his termination of the IT department, Denholm's estranged son—and rightful successor—Douglas (Matt Berry) bursts into the funeral and takes over the company, thereby saving their jobs and firing Denholm's original successor. The episode ends with Roy and Moss giving Douglas Roy's phone, and having him let it vibrate in his pants (which takes him "almost to the station").

Quotes you ask? well sure...
"THURSDAY!??!?!!?!"
Moss drops the F-bomb in this episode! - just a warning! (great quote for it tho)
"40 a day? That's 146,002 a decade... presuming there's 2 leap years"
"I totally PIMPED your phone girlfriend!"
"I'm not putting it up to 8 Moss, it'll blow my C*** off!"
"Sorry for your loss. Move on."
"FATHEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!"

The IT Crowd - SEASON 2!!! (episode 1)

Well, after a long break, it's now time to post the Season 2 episodes of The IT Crowd. This season is just as good as the first season, but what I like about these videos is that we finally get to watch the whole opening sequence. It has a hilarious animation of our 3 favorite characters bashing a computer, and it looks like an old video game (which I currently can't remember the name).

So lets get things started...

Season 2 - Episode 1 "The Work Outing"
When Jen is asked to the theatre for a date, Moss and Roy invite themselves along, then make her doubt the heterosexuality of her date. She wonders further when the play turns out to be a production of "Gay! - A Gay Musical", during which Moss and Roy are mistaken for a couple during the audience participation segment. At intermission, neither Roy nor Moss are able to use the toilets because of an attendant, so they use the disabled and staff facilities (respectively) and are forced to adopt appropriate identities when caught. In the end, Jen confronts her date about his heterosexuality because of the play they just saw, and he tries to cover it up by saying you don't have to be gay to like a gay musical. However, when Jen mentions how he wanted to read a copy of Heat, he then buckles and comes out about his homosexuality, saying he hoped a relationship with Jen would work because she looked like a man.

This, in my opinion, is one of the funniest episodes that they made. There is a couple of pure laugh out loud moments, especially towards the end. It's a great watch! (c:

I'm going to skip that good quotes today, but next time I'll include them again! BUT... as you may know, most of my quotes from last season were from Moss, but this episode I really think Roy has taken the top marks. He has some hilarious lines and situations, I think every quote I put on here would have been from him! (c:

ok just one - "I'm Disabled!"

Robert Murraine vs. Philip Chbeeb - a dance off?!

Well, after posting the first season of The IT Crowd, I decided to take a small break before going on to the second season. During this break, I decided to provide some more entertaining videos, but this time, it's in the way of dancing!

Over the past few weeks, I have been watching the popular tv show called "So You Think You Can Dance?" This season they have some absolutely great dancers, but my favorite dance genres include popping, b-boys, and "the robot" haha. This brings me to my favorite dancer of all time, Robert Murraine aka Mr. Fantastic. He auditioned this year, and absolutely blew the judges away (and myself for that matter!)

One of the best poppers/robotics I have ever seen, here is his audition video.

As usual with my videos, here's the direct link incase the embedded version doesn't work. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3y5PG_GtRa8

This was absolutely amazing. he made it through to Vegas, but then decided to bow out of the competition because he couldnt do anything but his own style. obviously! BUT!!! they brought him back last week to dance on the show, and blew me and the judges away AGAIN. here's that video... genius.
Embedding has been disabled for this video, so just follow the link...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3Infd7HQDk

Now, at the end of that video, they mention having a dance off between him and Philip Chbeeb, coincidentally one of my other favorite dancers that I've ever seen. Here is his audition from LAST year, and his audition from THIS year. he has gotten better, and a bit more ghetto, over the 1 year break.

Last year

This year

He made it to Vegas this year, but then when the Vegas shows started, I didn't see him anywhere, so I have no idea what happened. I would LOVE to see a dance off between the 2 of these guys though... it would be absolutely amazing. Hats off to both of them!

The IT Crowd BLOOPERS!! (season 1, eps. 1-6)

Hello Fans!

Assuming you've all watched all 6 parts of the first season, I know give you the blooper real! The Richmond bloopers are by far my favorite, and I think it brings a lot more to his character than the dark gloomy goth... Absolutely hilarious.

If you haven't watched all 6 episodes, I recommend watching them first, but this video won't ruin any of them for you, so whatever you choose!

And of course, here's the direct link to the video incase the embedded version doesn't work for you...

The IT Crowd (part 6)

Part 6!!! Wowsers! This is the final episode of the first season. As usual, if you're reading this post, and you havent watched the previous 5 episodes of The IT Crowd, you have to go back to the start, do not collect $200. You just won't understand everything!

So what would an episode be without some great quotes that don't really say anything about the episode, but are sometimes the best quotes ever! Who am I to take that away from you people? (you people you...)

Quotes!
"The toilet cleaners!! They said we couldn't do it!!"
"How would I get on her nerves??"
"When I had the baby, I look down and saw that it was my father!"
"Smarties cereal........."
"oh noooooo!!!!"
"Mom?!?!"

AND MAKE SURE YOU WATCH TIL THE VERY END!!! CLASSIC!!!!

Episode 6 - "Aunt Irma Visits"
Jen's menstrual cycle (nicknamed Aunt Irma) has unexpected consequences for the office, with her colleagues all directly suffering from the associated effects. After Moss sends an email about it to everyone he knows in the IT Community it incites "Aunt Irma" riots and disturbances throughout the world. It's decided that the only cure is to have a big "girly night in" with scented candles, and watching the movie Steel Magnolias, but they are obliged to go to the company "Thank-You" party, where they get incredibly drunk.

The IT Crowd (part 5)

And we're back!! well, assuming you've been paying attention, this is the 5th of 12 episodes of the IT Crowd. if you haven't been paying attention (Kevin...), please go back and watch whichever episodes you missed before watching this one! (start from 1, go to 2, etc .... need I explain more?)

So episode 5 is another good one (of course!). Here's some good quotes that won't overly spoil the episode...
"That'll be trouser food!"
"Events seem to be taking a downward turn... *DUN DUN DUNNNNN*"
"You lying cow!"
"I don't think that's Elton John..."

Episode 5 - "The Haunting of Bill Crouse"
Moss tells an extraordinary lie to help Jen escape the attention of Bill "The News" Crouse—telling him that she is dead. The story spreads, and the office gathers for a memorial. Denholm invites his friend Elton John, and Bill starts telling everyone that he was the last person to sleep with Jen. Meanwhile Roy has garnered the attention of Judy, the unattractive office cleaner, instead of Julie, the attractive girl from the fifth floor, and is trying to shake her.

The IT Crowd (part 4)

Glad you could all join for the 4th episode of The IT Crowd. Apparently this has been slowly catching on, because today, we watched the first 3 episodes! All over lunch of course, so no work was missed (naturally, we wouldn't think of doing anything other than work during the actual work hours).

Now then, on to the 4th episode. In this episode, a new, and ever hilarious character is introduced - Richmond the goth.

Here are my favorite quotes from this episode. (Coincidentally, these are all spoken by Moss)
"Would I blow everyone's mind if I ate dessert first?"
"This flipping circuit board, Jen!"
"Jimminy Jones, look, the nature of the thing happening has changed slightly, rendering it yet MORE interesting!"

Episode 4 - "The Red Door"
While Roy becomes stuck under a desk with Moss attempting to rescue him, Jen investigates the strange red door in the basement, leading to her discovery of Richmond, a lonely goth and the fourth member of the IT department. Jen discovers Richmond's fall from grace through a series of flashbacks and tries to help him, while Roy tries not to become a "desk rabbit" (a term Moss coined for the situation).

The IT Crowd (part 3)

Well, 2 episodes down, 10 to go!! If you haven't had a chance to watch the first 2 yet, make sure you watch them in the proper order, otherwise some things will not make much sense to you!!

Onward and upward, here's a few clips that make up the whole of Episode 3!

First, here's 2 great quotes from this episode...
"Everybody's having having fun fun fun..."
"Ahhhh hahahaaaaa hahahahaaa hahaaahahaha aaaahhhhh hahahahahaha aaahhha ahahahaha hahahahahah hhhahaaha aaaaahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaahhhh aaaaahhhhhh aaaahhhhahahahahaaaahahahaa aahhhh hahahahahahaaaa!"

Episode 3 - "Fifty-Fifty"
After Roy has a horrible date with a woman because he smears chocolate on his forehead and it looks like poo, the story circulates around the office. Roy decides the woman actually didn't like him because women only like "bad boys", and sets out to prove his point by posting an ad that makes him sound horrible in the local classifieds.

Meanwhile, Jen has been impressing the temporary security guard with her (guessed) knowledge of obscure facts and he puts her on his "phone a friend" list for "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?"

The IT Crowd (part 2)

Well this is part 2 of the 12 part post... Hopefully you enjoyed the first episode, because I'm delivering all 12!

Season 1 - Episode 2 - "Calamity Jen"
Moss, Roy, and Jen are summoned to a company wide meeting with Denholm in which he "declares war" on stress and sets up a staff seminar on dealing with stress and its effects. Moss and Roy attend, but Jen is distracted by a shoe shop and purchases a pair of shoes—despite their being two sizes too small—on her way to work. At the seminar Roy and Moss become infatuated with the "stress tester" the speaker used, prompting Moss to build his own and start a fire in the basement. Unfortunately, throughout the episode fake commercials aired for a changeover in the emergency phone number from "999" to "0118 999 881 999 119 725 3" causing problems in getting help.

The IT Crowd

as you may have assumed, I have been failing to come up with things creative enough to actually post to this blog. So, in the spirit of my computer nerd heritage, I have decided to make my next 12 posts dedicated to the British sitcom called "The IT Crowd." Nobody can say for sure whether it is pronounced "it" or I.T., but I say I.T. because that's what I know... Kathryn of course disagrees, because she would.

ANYWAY... this, the first of a 12 post series, will be the first episode of the first season. The videos are on Youtube, so if you want to look ahead, feel free, although then you will have no use to come back to my blog, so DONT DO IT!!! (c:

Each video is sectioned into 3 parts for size sake on Youtube, so you will (heaven forbid) have to click 3 different play buttons at 3 different times... yikes!

Season 1 - Episode 1 - "Yesterday's Jam"
Denholm Reynholm, the technically challenged boss of a large corporation, interviews Jen Barber for a position. Fooled by her "techno-bluffing", he appoints her as manager of the IT support office, where she demonstrates a complete lack of knowledge in technical matters.

Moss and Roy, resenting having been given a manager, attempt to get rid of her by exposing her lack of knowledge and experience to Reynholm until they realize her people skills can be an asset for them.

McCain to LVH

so today John McCain is joining the LVH crowd to talk about healthcare, and other politics, yadda yadda yadda.... I don't really care much, but I went out to lunch today and on my way out of the parking lot, there were a bunch of signs for McCain. Also, on the other side of the street, were all of the Obama followers (maybe about 35 of them), and apparently both of the Hillary supporters of the Lehigh Valley made it out to the event as well (only 2 Hillabean signs)... that just made me chuckle a little (c:

I had a nice picture of McCain to go in here, but I didn't want to get in trouble w/ any blog-trollers.

The Finger

The last week or so has been extremely busy!! I shouldn't be writing this right now due to all the work I have, but I had to get this out there... Butterfinger is changing it's name to "The Finger"!!!

Apparently they thought the name Butterfinger was too controversial... relating to people who are clumsy and drop things easily... So they wanted to get a new name that was clear, straight to the point, and free from controversy... The Finger...

Simply Hilarious, and a great start to April Fools.

Concrete Canvas

So I was checking out my iGoogle home page earlier today, and I clicked on an optical illusion that was a wall mural... It was pretty neat, so I dug deeper. The deeper digging lead me to Julian Beever's website. This guy is an amazing artist, most of his work being on city sidewalks and streets. He's pretty clever, and I think he had a Coke sponsor for awhile too, because a lot of his drawings show Coke bottles or cans. He's ridiculously creative... here are a few of my favorites...

Here he is sitting on an ice block in the arctic fishing for a whale..

Here he is on the ledge of a burning building about to be saved by batman and robin..

Here he is feeding a real live young child to a huge lobster...

And here he is diving into a pool under a waterfall next to a building on support beams...

Some pretty cool stuff!! He has a lot more on his website, I definitely suggest checking it out!

And for more of his work that's not listed on his website, just use Google Images to search for his name... I already did it for you.

11 Planets

So remember how they decided that Pluto was no longer a planet, and that we only have 8 planets in our solar system?? Well, Pluto is back!! Along with Pluto, 2 other "dwarf planets" have been named to be included in our new 11 planet solar system.

Ceres - which was originally thought to be an asteroid between Mars and Jupiter
Eris - an object that is slightly larger than Pluto, and further from the sun.

So now, our solar system has 11 planets:
Mercury
Venus
Earth
Mars
Ceres
Jupiter
Saturn
Uranus
Neptune
Pluto
Eris

Congratulations to Pluto, my all time second favorite planet, for making it back on the list and bringing it's tiny dwarf friends with it. That's what I like to call "dwarf's revenge". (soon to be listed in the urban dictionary.)

In other news, the term AUTHORITARD has been recently listed in the Urban Dictionary, brought to you by somebody named Obblie Gobblie in Allentown!

playstation 2

Well Thursday I bought Kristi a slimline Playstation 2 so that she can play her guitar hero without having to steal her brother's system. It worked out great, because I scored an almost new system, 2 controllers, 2 memory cards, a remote, and 17 games for only $125. The marketplace here at Lehigh Valley Hospital is amazing!

It's great because I only ever owned Nintendo systems, but my roommates in college always has playstations, so I always played all of the playstation games! Now I get to reunite myself with some of my favorite games, such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (which was included in my purchase!).

Now all I have to do is find Kingdom Hearts in stores somewhere. For some reason I absolutely loved that game.

Americaaaa.... F*** YEAH!!!!

So today at lunch we decided to listen to the Team America sound track. If you haven't heard the songs, I suggest you listen to them. They give such a proud American message. Also, if you haven't seen the movie, I suggest renting it or borrowing it from a friend. It's great!

In other news, did you know that Hitler was a Dallas Cowboys fan?? I snagged this clip from Bill White's blog. It's a great scene, I'm not sure where it's originally from, but he was apparently really upset that the Giant beat the Cowboys!!

Heath Ledger is dead?!

So apparently Heath Ledger was found dead today, in a possible drug-related death... Go figure. That's what all the actors seem to die of these days. It would be great if we could hear of one dying of old age once in awhile, but the problem with that is that by the time they reach an old age, everyone has already forgotten about them!

But seriously now, I always liked Heath Ledger as an actor, mostly in Patriot, and Lords of Dogtown. I never saw brokeback mountain, and I probably never will (blah blah blah go away).

He's officially my second favorite Australian to die in recent years, behind the infamous Steve Irwin of course. Croikie!

Wii Virtual Reality

This guy really needs to be hired by Nintendo. He has pretty much revolutionized the Wii, which was already a revolution in itself!

Here's a quick clip of what he's been messing around with.

Chuck Norris Approved

This may be the best presidential candidate commercial ever made. I like anything that pokes fun at Chuck Norris, especially when he is actually involved in it!

A couple of good ones that I feel they should have mentioned include:

  • Chuck Norris can slam a revolving door
  • Chuck Norris is the reason why Waldo is hiding
  • Chuck Norris appeared in the "Street Fighter II" video game, but was removed by Beta Testers because every button caused him to do a roundhouse kick. When asked about this "glitch," Norris replied, "That's no glitch"
  • When the boogyman goes to sleep, he checks under his bed for Chuck Norris
And of course the highly controversial one - Chuck Norris was the fourth Wiseman. He brought baby Jesus the gift of "beard". Jesus wore it proudly to his dying day. The other Wisemen, jealous of Jesus' obvious gift favoritism, used their combined influence to have Chuck omitted from the Bible. Shortly after all three died of roundhouse kick related deaths.

Please leave your favorite Chuck Norris Facts in the comment section!

The Muffin Tops

The other night I was watching Seinfeld on DVD, and I was up to one of my all time favorite episodes - The Muffin Tops (Season 8, originally aired 5/8/97). My favorite scene features Elaine in a bizarre battle of the lungs with a repeat character named Rebecca De Mornay, who works for a homeless shelter. Here is that argument:

Rebecca: Excuse me, I'm Rebecca De Mornay from the homeless shelter.
Elaine: Oh, hi.
Rebecca: Are you the ones leaving the muffing pieces behind our shelter?
Elaine: You've been enjoying them?
Rebecca: They're just stumps!
Elaine: Well they're perfectly edible.
Rebecca: Oh, so you just assume that the homeless will eat them, they'll eat anything?
Mr. Lippman: No no, we just thought...
Rebecca: I know what you thought! They don't have homes, they don't have jobs, what do they need the top of a muffin for? They're lucky to get the stumps.
Elaine: If the homeless don't like them, then the homeless DON'T have to eat them.
Rebecca: The homeless don't like them!
Elaine: Fine!
Rebecca: We've never gotten so many complaints! Every two minutes, "Where is the top of this muffin? Who ate the rest of this?"
Elaine: We were just trying to help!
Rebecca: Why don't you just drop off some chicken skins and lobster shells!
Elaine: I think I might!

Simply classic. Rebecca is the one who also threw George out of a homeless shelter for trying to sell them a "flagged" book from Brentano's book store. Flagged meaning of course that he had it in the bathroom with him. Instant bio-hazard.

Anyway, the reason I bring this up, is because I would LOVE to receive a huge load of muffin stumps! Heck, I love the top of a muffin just as much as the next guy, but the stumps are still pretty darn good! How could someone not like them?? They had to bring in Newman as "the cleaner" to get rid of all the muffin stumps, heck I would have volunteered my muffin consuming services too!!

And then Kramer trying to get rid of them by going to dumps... genius! The guy working the booth at the Jiffy Dump is the same guy who was working the booth at the Jiffy Park (Wig Master 4/4/96), letting hookers turn tricks in the cars in the parking lot.

Knight Rider... back again!

So I saw a commercial on TV the other day in the middle of my Steelers game (those bastards)... Apparently Knight Rider is coming back! It's Phase 2!

I don't think it will be as much of a success as the original, with out David Hasselhoff (<- hilarious website by the way) driving his trans-am, how could it possible be such a great hit?!

But apparently Herr Hasselhoff will be making a guest appearance as Michael Knight, although I'm not sure for how long. This is the only detail that NBC actually gives on their homepage - http://www.nbc.com/Movies_Specials_More/#knightrider

But at any rate, K.I.T.T. looks pretty neat, as an updated Shelby Mustang (Mustang Shelby GT500KR, not that anyone would want all that detail).

Here's a picture, copyright unknown!

looks kinda neat.

Knight Rider is set to air on Sunday February 17th.

How do I login?!

Man, I almost forgot how to login to this blog! haha...

Well, seeing as it's a new year, I figure maybe I'll just randomize the posts from here on out and see how it goes. One day you might get a story to read, another day you might get a video to watch, and another day you might just get a few pictures. Who knows!!

Today, I'm going to post a video. Leeroy Jenkins is a character that someone made in the popular game World of Warcraft. This is the famous video of him and his guild going into a battle. His guild is planning out the attack while Leeroy is AFK (away from keyboard) apparently getting some chicken. When Leeroy returns, he runs into the battle leaving his guildmates behind in brief stunned silence before chasing after him. Many think he did this just to make fun of nerd-filled guilds who spend days planning out attacks, but others think he is just an idiot pot-head. You be the judge!
